EP 42 – Future Fabulous

On this week’s episode of the New Glam Gal Podcast, we talk about one of the most common questions I get. ” Should I keep my fat clothes?” The other question I get is “Should I buy a goal outfit?” My clients who are losing weight usually have two piles of clothing in their wardrobes. The pile that is too big and the pile of clothing that is too small. Neither pile of clothing serves them. Most people believe keeping their fat clothes or a skinny outfit is motivation. However, I find it usually demotivates my clients on their weight loss journey. Instead they are like having purposeful little piles of shame all over the house.

Now shame was touted as a big means of motivation in elementary school, thus the naughty chair or a dunce cap. But, now that you are an adult you do not have to choose to carry around either shame device on purpose. So why keep clothing that has the same effect? IT DOES NOT MOTIVATE YOU.

Time to stop using past efforts as a measure of what you can and cannot achieve in the future. A pile of clothes will not prevent you from regaining weight. It will also not shame you into a smaller size. It simply does not have the power. Only you have the power to create a fabulous future.

How do you create a fabulous future? You put that imagination to work for you, instead of against you. Time to get rid of the shame piles and step into that future fabulous woman you always envisioned. Are you with me? Then sign up for a free consultation call.
