Judith Gaton is a wardrobe wizard! Her approach to combining how we feel about ourselves and how that shows up in the clothes choice was something I had never considered until I read this book. Without this book I would have never made the connection that I was looking less pulled together and less professional then I wanted to because I was struggling with how I felt about myself. This book helped me understand the real reason I won't get rid of clothes that were too small for me, why I was hesitant to invest in quality clothes, and so much more. I also really enjoyed having multiple podcasts that went along with each chapter—my favorite episode 50 all about swimsuits. Miss J as she likes to be called, has written a witty and practical approach on how to address body image and dressing room drama so that we can be charming, fierce, and modern women. She has not just written a wonderful book but has created a whole community of women who are ready to be f*cking Ladies.

Miss J has a way of telling it like it is! She's direct and relatable. She has a great sense of humor as she guides and encourages the reader to take the time to self-reflect. She respectfully honors the women of generations past as well as gives practical and useful advice for our modern day. The book is packed full of information that inspires women to take personal responsibility for who they want to be in the world with special emphasis on looking inward to their own inner strength. Miss J provides "homework" and prompts that provide the reader with the opportunity to practice applying the principles she teaches. In addition she references specific podcasts that provide further clarification for the ideas she shares. A definite bonus if you are looking for more than just a great read!

I've always recoiled from "feminine" but equally not felt that 100% "fierce" was where I wanted to be either. This book beautifully blends those ideas in a way that totally spoke to me. Judith's strengths as a style coach shine through in this book; she helps you see that you FIRST create what you want in your head- the way you want to feel and BE in the world- and then you go find the style that fits you. I love that she weaves her Nuyorican culture throughout- we need brown voices in the style world! She is smart and sassy and direct- you can tell her heart is in the work of making every woman feel beautiful and put together from the inside out. Can't recommend this book or Judith as a style coach enough!

Judith takes old school charm and updates it to a modern, fierce, and kick-ass way we should all take note of. it's classic and edgy all at once. Love it.

Judith is absolutely amazing! I was fortunate enough to be involved in the evolution of this book and can state without hesitation that her insight, honesty, and ability to appreciate the worth of individual style and self confidence truly are the platform of this book. It is an amazing read and extremely fun!

This book helped me get my confidence back and prioritize what is important in my wardrobe. Judith’s approach helped me get through my thoughts that were driving my style and clothing choices. Once I learned to do that with this easy guide I transformed myself. Love her illustrations and the aspect that I could listen to her podcasts as extra support for each chapter. Highly recommend!
